The annual festival of the Chengamanad Mahadevar Temple occurs during the Dhanu month (December-January). It commences with the kodiyettu ritual and spans ten days, concluding on the Thiruvathira star. Throughout the festival, various art forms, including ‘Kadhakali,’ ‘Ottamthullal,’ and ‘Paadakam,’ grace the celebrations. The most
captivating highlight of this temple is the “Deepakkazhcha,” a spectacle where traditional lamps adorn the outer walls, illuminating the entire temple. “Ulsavabali Dharsanam” stands as the most significant offering during the festival days. The concluding day (Aarattu) of the festival features a splendid procession with a retinue of elephants and grand performances of ‘Panchavaadhyam’ and ‘Paandimelam’ in the morning and evening. The festival culminates in a magnificent firework display. Furthermore, the temple hosts a variety of religious festivals and rituals throughout the year, notably including Maha Shivaratri, which attracts a substantial number of devotees from across the region.

ചെങ്ങമനാട് മഹാദേവർ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ തിരുവുത്സവം എല്ലാ വർഷവും ധനു മാസത്തിൽ (ഡിസംബർ-ജനുവരി) നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. കൊടിയേറ്റ് ചടങ്ങുകളോടെ ആരംഭിച്ച് പത്തുദിവസം നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുന്ന തിരുവുത്സവം, തിരുവാതിര നക്ഷത്രത്തിൽ ആറാട്ടോടെ സമാപിക്കുന്നു. ഉത്സവത്തിലുടനീളം, ‘കഥകളി’, ‘ഓട്ടംതുള്ളൽ’, ‘പാഠകം’ തുടങ്ങി വിവിധ കലാരൂപങ്ങൾ ആഘോഷങ്ങൾക്ക് മിഴിവേകുന്നു. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ തിരുവുത്സവത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ചു എല്ലാ തിരുവുത്സവം നാളുകളിലും നടത്തപ്പെടുന്ന ഏറ്റവും ആകർഷകമായ ഒരു വഴിപാടാണ് “ദീപക്കാഴ്ച”. പരമ്പരാഗത വിളക്കുകൾ പുറം ഭിത്തികളെ അലങ്കരിക്കുകയും ക്ഷേത്രത്തെ മുഴുവൻ പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന കാഴ്ച അതിമനോഹരമാണ്. ഉത്സവദിവസങ്ങളിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട വഴിപാടായി “ഉൽസവബലി ദർശനം” നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു. ഉത്സവത്തിൻ്റെ 8, 9 , 10 ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ മേളപ്രമാണിമാരുടെ സാനിധ്യത്തിൽ അതിഗംഭീര മേളങ്ങൾ നടത്തിവരുന്നു. ഉത്സവത്തിൻ്റെ പത്താം ദിവസം ചെങ്ങമനാട്ടപ്പൻ്റെ തിടമ്പേറ്റിയ ആനയോടുകൂടി  ഗംഭീരമായ ഘോഷയാത്രയും (ആറാട്ടെഴുന്നള്ളിപ്പ്) രാവിലെയും വൈകിട്ടും രാത്രിയിൽ ഏറെ വൈകിയും ‘പഞ്ചവാദ്യം’, ‘പാണ്ടിമേളം’ എന്നിവയുടെ മഹത്തായ പ്രകടനങ്ങളും നടത്തുന്നു. അതിമനോഹരമായ വെടിക്കെട്ടോടെയാണ് ഉത്സവം അവസാനിക്കുന്നത്. കൂടാതെ, വർഷം മുഴുവനും വൈവിധ്യമാർന്ന ആഘോഷങ്ങൾക്കും ആചാരങ്ങൾക്കും ക്ഷേത്രം ആതിഥേയത്വം വഹിക്കുന്നു, മഹാശിവരാത്രി ഉൾപ്പെടെ, ഇത്തരം ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ വിവിധ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുപോലുമുള്ള ഗണ്യമായ എണ്ണം ഭക്തരെ ആകർഷിക്കുന്നു.
